Activation of Shipmondo in Klarna Checkout

If you use Klarna Checkout (KCO) on your webshop, you can connect Shipmondo via Klarna Shipping Assistant (KSA) and manage delivery methods directly in the checkout – including showing pickup points for selected carriers.

How to activate Shipmondo in Klarna Checkout

This guide assumes you already have a Klarna Merchant account, which is a requirement for being able to use Klarna Checkout for your online store. This guide covers the following steps:

  • Setup in Klarna Merchant Portal

  • Setup on the webshop

  • Setting up shipping methods for Klarna Checkout (through Shipmondo)

Step 1 - Setup in the Klarna Merchant Portal

a) Create a Shipping Profile for Shipmondo

Log in to the Klarna Merchant Portal and go to Settings > Logistics > Shipping Profiles.

Create a new profile based on the following information:

Integration name

Specify "Shipmondo".

Merchant Id

Choose the Merchant ID you wish to use.

Choose TMS

Choose "Shipmondo LIVE".

Identifier

Your Shipmondo identifier.

Your Shipmondo shipping module access key.

The new profile is inactive upon creation.

b) Activate the Shipping Profile

Go to Settings > Logistics > Active Profiles and create a new mapping by clicking on New country mapping.

Merchant Id

Choose the Merchant ID you wish to use.

Country

Select the country where you are using Klarna Checkout.

Profile

Select the profile (“Shipmondo”) that you created in step a).

Note! If you use Klarna Checkout in multiple countries, e.g., Sweden and Norway, you must remember to create two profiles for Sweden and Norway, respectively. However, you can also use a single profile by selecting “Global” as the country (one profile for the entire world).

Step 2 - Setup on the webshop

This step is performed in your webshop administration and varies depending on the webshop system.

  • WooCommerce – Find the guide here.

  • Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) – Install the Klarna Checkout module and connect it to your Klarna Merchant Portal according to the module’s official instructions.

  • PrestaShop – Install the Klarna Official Checkout module. Configure the module and connect it to your Klarna Merchant Portal following the module’s official instructions.

  • Starweb – Klarna Checkout is included and pre-installed in all Starweb stores, so no additional setup is required in this step.

Note! Shipmondo generally works with all webshop systems that support Klarna Checkout. If you use a webshop system not listed above, please contact us for further details.

Step 3 - Setup of delivery method in Shipmondo

Once Shipmondo is connected to your Klarna Checkout (KCO), the delivery methods you have set up in Shipmondo will automatically be displayed in Klarna Checkout based on your rules.
