Activation of Shipmondo in Kustom Checkout (former Klarna)

Updated today

This feature requires Shipmondo Essentials or Pro. See the full feature list.

If you use Kustom Checkout (KCO) on your webshop, you can connect Shipmondo via KSA and manage delivery methods directly in the checkout – including showing pickup points for selected carriers.

How to activate Shipmondo in Kustom Checkout (former Klarna)

This guide assumes you already have a Kustom Merchant account, which is a requirement for being able to use Kustom Checkout for your online store. This guide covers the following steps:

  • Setup in Kustom Merchant Portal

  • Setup on the webshop

  • Setting up shipping methods for Kustom Checkout (through Shipmondo)

Step 1 - Setup in the Kustom Merchant Portal

a) Create a Shipping Profile

Log in to the Kustom Merchant PortalIntegrationsShipping.

Click Create new profile and fill in:

Profile name

Specify "Shipmondo" (or any name that fits your setup).

TMS

Choose "Shipmondo LIVE".

Identifier

Your Shipmondo identifier.

See how you find it here.

Key

Your Shipmondo shipping module access key.

See how you find it here.

Note: The profile is created as inactive.

b) Activate the Shipping Profile

  1. Open the newly created profile.

  2. Under Countries, select the countries you want to activate or choose Global to apply the profile to all countries.

  3. Click Update to activate the profile.

Testing the Profile

  • Use Preview to test the profile.

  • Remember to enter the Key manually, as it is not transferred for security reasons.

  • Note: Preview may have limitations and might only work with certain addresses (e.g., specific Swedish ones).

Step 2 - Setup on the webshop

This step is performed in your webshop administration and varies depending on the webshop system.

  • WooCommerce – Find the guide here.

  • Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) – Install the Kustom Checkout module and connect it to your Kustom Merchant Portal according to the module’s official instructions.

  • PrestaShop – Install the Kustom Official Checkout module. Configure the module and connect it to your Kustom Merchant Portal following the module’s official instructions.

  • Starweb – Kustom Checkout is included and pre-installed in all Starweb stores, so no additional setup is required in this step.

Note! Shipmondo generally works with all webshop systems that support Kustom Checkout. If you use a webshop system not listed above, please contact us for further details.

Step 3 - Setup of delivery method in Shipmondo

Once Shipmondo is connected to your Kustom Checkout (KCO), the delivery methods you have set up in Shipmondo will automatically be displayed in Kustom Checkout (former Klarna) based on your rules.

Click the button below for a guide with examples on how to set up your delivery methods in Shipmondo for display in the Kustom Checkout flow.
