If you are using our legacy WooCommerce Delivery Checkout and wish to install the new one, you must follow these instructions.
By following this guide chronologically, you ensure a correct activation of the new plugin without any conflicts with the old one.
Note! If you are not already using Shipmondo Delivery Checkout in WooCommerce, do not follow this migration guide. Instead, follow this setup guide here.
How to Migrate Correctly (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Deactivate the Legacy Plugin
Log in to your WooCommerce admin using an administrator account.
Select Plugins in the side menu and find your existing Shipmondo plugin: "Shipmondo Shipping for WooCommerce". Once located, click Deactivate.
Note! It is very important that you do not have both plugins activated at the same time, as this will break your checkout.
Step 2: Install the New Plugin
Select Plugins in the side menu and then click Add Plugin at the top left.
Search for "Shipmondo". The new plugin "Shipmondo for WooCommerce" will appear in the results.
Note! When searching, both the old and new plugins will appear. You must select the new one named "Shipmondo for WooCommerce".
Click Install Now and then Activate.
Step 3: Verify and Finalize the Setup of Delivery Methods
Note! The new Delivery Checkout reuses the configuration from the legacy plugin, so you won't have to set everything up from scratch. However, since the new plugin includes new functionality, it is important that you review all delivery methods and finalize any missing settings.
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping.
Repeat the following for all shipping methods across all shipping zones:
Click Edit on a shipping zone.
Click Edit on a shipping method.
From here, proceed based on the Shipping Type of the delivery method.
Scenario 1: If Shipping Type is NOT "Service Point"
If the Shipping Type is not "Service Point" (e.g., "Home delivery"), simply scroll down and click Save changes if everything looks correct.
Note! The new plugin only displays carriers that you have access to through your Shipmondo account.
Scenario 2: If Shipping Type IS "Service Point"
If the Shipping Type is "Service Point," you must now select a Shipping Product (a new field in the new plugin). For example, "PostNord Service Point."
In the field Filter Service Point Types (another new field), you can limit the types of service points shown. For example, you can choose to only display "PostNord Service Point" (pickup point) or "PostNord Parcel Locker". If left empty, all service point types will be available for the selected Shipping Product.
Finally, scroll down and click Save changes.
Note! At this time, the new plugin does not support service points in shipping zones containing more than one country or zones defined as regions (Europe, North America, etc.).
