When you purchase freight at PostNord Norway through Shipmondo, you need to be aware of the dimensional weight of your shipment.

Volumetric weight (dimensional weight) describes how much space a specific parcel takes up.

When the dimensional weight is higher than the actual weight of the parcel, you will be charged according to the dimensional weight when you use PostNord Norway through Shipmondo.

This is calculated as follows:
volumetric weight = length x height x width (all in metres) x Z.

Z is a determinant that the carrier sets.
At PostNord Norway this determinant is Z = 200.

PostNord invoicing goes according to whichever value is the higher of the physical and the volumetric weight of the shipment.

Example:

Physical weight

Volumetric weight

0,9 kg

0,2 x 0,3 x 0,4 x 200 = 4,8 kg

Being higher than the physical weight, in this case it is the volumetric weight of 4,8 kg that would be the basis for the pricing of the shipment.
