What is dimensional weight at Bring?

Learn how to calculate dimensional/volumetric weight at Bring.

Updated this week

When you purchase freight through Shipmondo's freight agreement with Bring, you need to be aware of the dimensional weight of your shipment.

Volumetric weight (dimensional weight) describes how much space a specific parcel takes up.

Whenever dimensional weight of the parcel is higher than the physical weight, you will be charged based on the dimensional weight.

The dimensional weight is calculated as follows:

Dimensional weight = length x width x height (all in m) x Z

Z is a determinant that the carrier sets and at Bring this determinant is Z = 250.

Bring' invoicing is based on whichever value is the highest between the physical and the volumetric weight of the parcel.

Example:

Physical weight

Volumetric weight

3 kg

0,20 x 0,30 x 0,40 x 250 = 6,0 kg

The volumetric weight is 6,0 kg, which is higher than the actual weight. In this case, the volumetric weight is higher than the physical weight and you will be charged according to the volumetric weight.
