When you book freight with Bring Norway in Shipmondo, you need to be aware of your shipment’s dimensional weight.

Volumetric weight (dimensional weight) describes the parcel's space consumption.

When you use Bring Norway through Shipmondo, if the volumetric weight is higher than the parcel’s actual weight, it will be charged according to volumetric weight.

Note! Bring Norway calculates volumetric weight based on measurements in dm.

H(dm) x L(dm) x W(dm) / conversion factor

Bring’s conversion factor = 5

Approach - an example:

  1. The package measures (L x W x H) 20 x 30 x 40 and weighs 3 kg

  2. Dimensions must be converted to dm: 20 x 30 x 40 / 1000 = 24 dm3

  3. Bring’s conversion factor is 5, which must be divided into the result from step 2.

  4. Volume weight = 24 kg / 5 = 4,8 kg

Example:

Physical weight

Volumetric weight

3 kg

20 x 30 x 40 / 1000 / 5 = 4,8 kg

The volumetric weight is 4,8 kg, which is higher than the actual weight. In this case, the volumetric weight is higher than the physical weight and you will be charged according to the volumetric weight.
