Get to know more about billing of subscriptions in Shipmondo.

This article explains how billing of paid subscriptions in Shipmondo works. It accounts for Shipmondo Essentials and Shipmondo Pro.

Subscription period

Your subscription period begins on the day you activate a paid plan. This date will become your fixed billing date going forward.

You can choose to pay either monthly or annually and switch between billing periods at any time before your next renewal.

Billing

Your Shipmondo subscription is always billed in advance.

Monthly subscriptions are billed on the same date each month, based on the day you first activated a paid plan.

Annual subscriptions are billed on the same date each year.


Billing When Changing Plans

Upgrading your plan

When you upgrade your plan, the change takes effect immediately, so you can start using the new features right away for example, adding more shipping agreements and integrations.

Your current billing date stays the same, and you’ll only be charged the price difference for the remaining time in your current billing period. This difference is calculated based on the number of days left in your billing period.

The new subscription price will be included on your next invoice.

Downgrading your plan

If you downgrade your plan, the change will take effect on your next renewal date. Until then, you'll continue to have access to all the features of your current plan.

Billing of usage

Your usage of labels will be paid continuously from the balance on your Shipmondo account. You only pay for the labels you actually book.

You will automatically get a volume discount based on your monthly usage of labels booked on own shipping agreements. The label price will decrease as your usage increases.

If you choose annual subscription billing, your label usage and discount will still be calculated monthly based on your fixed monthly billing date.

Each month, you’ll receive an invoice with an overview of your label usage.

If a payment or plan change fails

We understand how essential Shipmondo is to your daily operations.

If a payment fails, your account is incompatible with a plan change, or another issue occurs, you’ll have a 5-day grace period to resolve the issue.

During this time, you’ll retain full access to your subscription, giving you time to fix any problems and ensure a smooth renewal.

If you need assistance, our Customer Success Team is ready to help.

If the issue isn’t resolved before the end of the grace period, your account will be locked.
