We’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions related to the introduction of Shipmondo’s subscription plans.

If you have questions not featured in this article, please feel free to contact us. Then we’ll be happy to help.

1. Why are you introducing subscription plans?

April 9 we introduced subscription plans to ensure a stable and future-proof platform while offering support and developing features that meet market demands.

The subscription model allows us to offer and evolve solutions tailored to various business needs.

2. Which plan suits us best?

We’ve created a guide to help you choose the plan that best fits your needs.

3. Can we upgrade or downgrade later?

Yes!

Choose the plan that makes sense for you at the moment. If your needs change, you can easily upgrade or downgrade directly from your Shipmondo account.

If you choose monthly billing, you can downgrade from month to month – meaning there’s no commitment beyond the current month.

If you choose to upgrade and want access to more features, the change will take effect immediately.

4. How long are we committed to our chosen subscription plan?

When you choose a paid subscription plan, it runs for the selected period - whether that’s annual or monthly.

With monthly billing, you can downgrade month-to-month. There’s no binding commitment beyond the current month.

For annual billing, you can downgrade at any time, but the change will only take effect at the end of your yearly period.

If you wish to upgrade and get access to even more benefits, the new plan and features become active right away.

5. Can we print shipping labels on Shipmondo Free?

Yes, you can generate and download shipping labels and other documents, which you can then print manually.

If you want to use the Shipmondo Print Client and automate label/document printing as part of your workflow, you’ll need either the Shipmondo Essentials or Pro plan.

6. Can we use our own carrier agreement on Shipmondo Free?

No.

Using your own carrier agreement requires either Shipmondo Essentials or Pro.

These plans also give you access to extra features like our Print Client, Order Management, user management, and more - all of which can streamline your shipping operations. See all features and pricing.

If you only want to use our built-in shipping rates, you can do so with Shipmondo Free.

Create a free Shipmondo account to explore options and prices.

7. How can we ensure that our Shipmondo account is compatible with our chosen plan?

Depending on your current setup and the subscription plan you choose, you may need to remove carrier agreements, integrations, or staff accounts to make your account compatible.

You’ll be notified at the top under Billing if there are changes required for the plan change to take effect.

Please note that you may lose access to certain features if you downgrade, such as the Shipmondo Print Client and Shipmondo Analytics. See full list of features here.

8. What happens after 9 May?

Your selected plan will take effect on May 9.

If you’ve chosen Shipmondo Essentials or Free, you’ll lose access to certain features. See the feature list here. Make sure your account is compatible with your chosen plan before May 9. See the guide here.

If you’ve chosen to continue with Shipmondo Pro, your usage will remain unchanged, but you’ll benefit from faster support - with a maximum 3-hour response time via email. Read more about support plans.

9. Are we required to choose Shipmondo Pro?

No.

All existing customers are currently on a trial period of Shipmondo Pro, which ends on May 9. You will not be automatically upgraded to Pro.

As an existing customer, you must choose the plan that suits your feature needs before May 9 - including if you want to continue with Pro. View all features and plans.

10. What happens if we don’t choose a plan?

If you’ve been informed that you must choose a plan by May 9, you need to do so to maintain access to your current features.

You’re currently on a Shipmondo Pro trial. This will not automatically continue.

If you haven’t chosen a plan by May 9, what happens depends on your current account setup:

  • If your setup is compatible with Shipmondo Free, you’ll be automatically downgraded. No subscription payment is required for Shipmondo Free.

  • If your setup isn’t compatible, your account will be temporarily locked. You’ll need to contact us to regain access and adjust your setup.

We recommend choosing your plan in good time to ensure a smooth transition.

11. When do we need to pay?

If you’re an existing customer, you must select a plan by May 9. The plan will activate on that date, and the payment for the first period (month or year) will be charged from your balance.

If you’re a new customer, payment is charged when you choose your subscription.

Read more about subscription billing.

12. Can we get a discount?

Our pricing model is transparent. We offer built-in discounts on label bookings by automatically applying volume discounts when you use your own carrier agreements. The more labels you book, the lower your price per label. Read more about label discounts.

If you choose annual billing, you’ll also receive a 20% discount on the subscription price and the one-time setup fee for your own carrier agreements.

We’ve developed a pricing calculator to estimate your monthly costs with Shipmondo when using your own carrier agreements. Note that this is only an estimate, as charges are based on actual usage.
