Non-conveyable consignments

Shipments that require special (manual) handling are shipments that can’t be transported by the conveyor belts in PostNord's automatic sorting systems because of their size, form or outer packaging.

These are either sorted manually in depots and distribution hubs, or can even be rejected and sent back to the sender.

Read more about PostNord's safe packaging and conveyable shipments in this guide for safe parcel dispatch.

Oversize

If at least one of the sides of your shipment exceeds 175 cm or the volumetric weight is over 50 kg, an additional oversize fee will be issued by PostNord.

Exceeding maximum weight (domestic)

If you send a package with PostNord, and the physical weight of the package exceeds the maximum physical weight, two things can happen:

  1. Your package will be handled.

  2. Your package will be returned at your expense.

The base price for the package is set to the price of the heaviest package offered by Shipmondo, and for each kilogram that the package exceeds the maximum weight, a fee of 10.00 DKK excl. VAT per kg up to 50 kg will be charged.

If the package exceeds the maximum weight with more than 50 kg. a fee of 6.00 DKK per kg. will be charged.

Exceeding maximum weight (international)

If you send a package with PostNord, and the physical weight of the package exceeds the maximum physical weight, two things can happen:

  1. Your package will be handled.

  2. Your package will be returned at your expense.

The base price for the package is set to the price of the heaviest package offered by Shipmondo, and for each kilogram that the package exceeds the maximum weight, a fee of 20.00 DKK excl. VAT per kg up to 50 kg will be charged.

If the package exceeds the maximum weight with more than 50 kg. a fee of 9.00 DKK per kg. will be charged.

Note! From 50 kg and above, a fee of 9.00 DKK excl. VAT per kg will be charged.

Significantly exceeding physical weight

If your shipment exceeds the maximum weight and / or dimensions significantly, you risk it being handled as a groupage / pallet and you'll be charged for the price difference up to PostNord's applicable groupage / pallet prices.

Island fee

Surcharge for island delivery is charged according to PostNord's applicable rates.

Correction of customs documents

When shipping outside the EU, you must ensure that customs information is filled in correctly.

If this is not the case and PostNord has to correct some information on the proforma/sales invoice, this will incur a surcharge per package.

Collect to Home

When a shipment weighs more than 20 kg, it will be converted from My Collect to MyPack Home and this will incur a surcharge.

Returns

If a parcel is not picked up in time or if it doesn't comply with carrier's requirements etc. and is returned to the sender for this reason, the cost of the return will be charged to the sender.

The price of the return shipment is the same as the price of the original shipment.
