In order to be able to capture payments for your orders directly from Shipmondo, the API access must be added to your Shipmondo account.

To do so, the following information is needed:

  • Your payment gateway API client ID

  • You payment gateway API secret

1. Find your API key

Log in to your PayPal Business account here.

Go to My Apps & Credentials and make sure that your PayPal account is set to Live at the top of the page (and not Sandbox).

Click on Create App under the REST API apps section.

Give your app a name e.g. Shipmondo and choose your Business Account.

Click on Create App.

Click on the Show in the Live API Credentials box to get your payment gateway API Secret. Note your Client ID and Secret down from Live API Credentials.

2. Add your payment gateway to your Shipmondo account

Log in to your Shipmondo account by clicking here.

Go to Settings > Integration > Payment Gateway and click on the Plus-button (+) in the bottom right corner.

Give your payment gateway a name and choose "PayPal" under Provider.

Fill out your API Client ID under Business nr. and your API Secret under Password and click on Create.

3. Connect your payment gateway with payment methods on your order integration

One to more payment gateways may be used on a webshop. In order for you to capture/refund payments on an order from Shipmondo, you must specify which payment gateways are to be used in the setup of your order integration.
