Test how Shipmondo works with your webshop. Here, we will show you how to test the entire flow.

Updated this week

Do you want to test Shipmondo to see if it’s the right solution for you? Or perhaps you’ve already decided to use Shipmondo but want to test the order flow before going live?

Testing the order integration between your webshop and Shipmondo is easy and free.

In this guide, we will show you how to play the role of a customer and place an order on your webshop. This order will then be transferred to your Shipmondo account, where you can handle it and create a shipment.

This guide assumes that:

💡 Expert tip: Don't have a webshop yet, or want to try Shipmondo right away? Create a free demo account, where we pull order data from our demo webshop. Everything is pre-configured from orders, shipments, integrations, return portal, etc. This gives you a great overview and the opportunity to test how the features work in practice.

How to test

Step 1 - Create a test order

Go to your webshop and place a test order as if you were a customer.

Note! It can take up to 15 minutes from the time you place your test order on the webshop until it is transferred to Shipmondo.

Step 2 - Create a test shipment

If you selected Use Order Management when setting up your order integration, your order will be imported to Order Management > Orders. In this case, follow the example in this guide to create a shipment for your test order.

If, however, you selected Import to shipment drafts, your order will be transferred to Shipments > Drafts. In this case, click the plus button (+) in the Label column, follow the on-screen instructions, and create a shipment for your test order. See also this guide.

Note! When creating a test shipment, you must complete a real purchase with your credit card. Remember to select Shipmondo under Shipping agreement when creating your test shipment. For test shipments, we recommend using PostNord or GLS (all products except Pick & Ship), as these shipments can be canceled afterwards, and you will receive a refund.

Step 3 - Cancel your test shipment

If you do not need the shipping label, you can cancel it and have the amount refunded.

Read our guide on how to do that here.

You have now completed an order flow from start to finish.
