With Shipmondo Order Management, you can manage any fulfillment errors (picking errors) that might occur when picking and packing orders. You can also gain deeper insights into your fulfillment errors and optimize your current workflow using Shipmondo Analytics.
Handling a fulfillment error
If a customer contacts you about an issue with their delivery, you can resolve it immediately, allowing both you and the customer to move forward quickly.
Locate the dispatched fulfillment in question. Click the arrow next to "Print packing slip" and select Handle fulfillment error.
A new window will open for that specific fulfillment. Under Edit fulfillment, state the actual items the customer received.
You can remove items if the customer is missing one or more items from their order.
If the customer received one or more incorrect items, you can remove those items and add the correct ones, adjusting the fulfillment to reflect what was actually received.
In this case, the customer ordered two sweaters but received only one, you would adjust the quantity to "1 of 2".
In the next step, Solution, choose how to resolve the error with the customer.
You can select whether the item should be returned, kept, destroyed, or managed differently if there was an extra item in the delivery.
If an item is missing, you can choose to send it or offer a refund. You can also select "Other" if you have another solution.
In the missing sweater example, we would choose to reship the item.
Finally, a summary will appear of the items with errors that have been managed for this fulfillment. Click Create to complete the error-handling process.
Once the error handling is created, you can resend the item as needed.
Gain insight into fulfillment errors with Analytics
Shipmondo Analytics lets you dive into your fulfillment errors, providing the data foundation needed to improve your workflows.
Navigate to Analytics > Fulfillment to view your data. Here are some key metrics:
Success rate: This metric shows the percentage of your deliveries that were error-free, offering a good indication of how well you're maintaining quality over time.
Item distribution: This view shows how fulfillment errors are distributed at the item level, giving you insight into whether certain items tend to have frequent errors. This could point to issues with warehouse placement or picking and packing processes that may not be optimal for that item.
Fulfillment distribution: This overview shows individual team members' productivity, including how many errors each person has made. Use it as a tool for employee development to enhance performance and reduce errors.
It can also be used as a motivational tool where you can track records and recognize great achievements.
