When you use Shipmondo Order Management, we continuously import your products from your webshop and create them in Shipmondo.
We retrieve and store product information such as SKU, variant code and product name. This product information is used in different places in Shipmondo, for example:
SKU, product name and variant code are used on delivery notes
Product placements are used on picking lists and for pick paths
Country of origin and tariff codes are used for automatic completion of customs documents on export
The product information we collect through your order integration depends on what data we have access to in your webshop.
However, you can always update/enrich your product information in Shipmondo. Do you, for example, use order management? It would be a good idea to make sure there are location codes on your products in Shipmondo, so that you can pick and handle your orders quickly and efficiently.
Below, you can read about how to update your product information in Shipmondo.
Update a single product
You will find your products under the Order Management > Products menu.
When you click on a product, you can see what information is stored about the product.
Here you can edit / enrich the product information and click Save.
Updating multiple products at once
If you have many products that you need to update, you can use our product export/import, where you export all your products to, for example, an Excel file, edit/enrich them and subsequently import the Excel file with your changes into Shipmondo.
Our product export/import solution supports both comma-separated and Excel file formats. In the example below, we will use the Excel file format.
Step 1 - Export to Excel file
Go to Order Management > Products.
Click the button with the three dots at the bottom-right corner.
Select Export to File.
Click Start to begin the export of product data.
The export has now started.
When your Excel file is ready, you will get a notification with a link to where you can download the file as shown in the screenshot below.
Step 2 - Update your product data
Download and open the exported Excel file (you need to have the Excel program installed on your computer).

Update your product data directly in Excel.
In the example below, we add Bin (placement) information to all products.
Save your Excel file when you're done updating your products.
Step 3 - Import your Excel file
Go to Order Management > Products.
Click the button with the three dots at the bottom-right corner.
Choose Import from file.
Click Select and choose your Excel file from step 2.
Click Next.
The import has now started.
Once the import is complete, you will get a message as shown below, and your products are now updated in Shipmondo.
Note! We recommend that you check that your product data is updated correctly in Shipmondo. If you update prices on products, then it is especially important that you double-check after import that the prices have loaded correctly, as Excel can format differently depending on the language setup/number formatting on your computer.
