Activate the service Signature required and make it a requirement for your customers to sign a receipt when taking over the parcel.

If you don't do this, your parcels will be delivered to a designated place at the receiver address, and carrier's liability stops as soon as they register that a parcel has been delivered.

If you wish to ensure Signature required as a default additional service you can do so through your shipment template, otherwise you can chose to activate it for a single shipment, by separately ticking the box under Additional services.
