Shipmondo Return Portal is a free feature for you to use as a Shipmondo customer. However, there are certain conditions that apply when you use the return portal with your own shipping agreement and accept payments for the return shipping from your customers.

Options for pricing and payout depend on whether you use
Shipmondo’s shipping agreement or
your own shipping agreement
The pricing options vary, depending on whether you use Shipmondo's shipping agreement or your own shipping agreements when setting up your return portal. You set up your return shipping options under Return Methods on your return portal on your Shipmondo account. ou can view and change the agreement you want on your chosen shipment template.
When using Shipmondo’s shipping agreement
If you use Shipmondo's shipping agreement in the shipment template to set up your return methods, Shipmondo will settle the actual cost prices for the return shipping with you. The actual prices for the return packages are the same as the initial shipping prices, which you can find under the menu option Shipments > Prices.
An example: Return price and calculation
You are a Swedish company. You have chosen to offer a return method with DHL Freight as your carrier on Shipmondo's shipping agreement. You determine that the return shipping costs 50.00 SEK.
Your customer sends the return package to you, and the package is weighed at 1.5 kg by DHL Freight.
A domestic DHL Freight return package of 1.5 kg costs 67.50 SEK, so you will receive a surcharge on the difference:
67.50 - 50.00 = 17.50 SEK
If you had set the return package to cost 67.50 SEK, you would not have received a weight surcharge.
If you set a shipping price that is higher than your actual cost, the difference will not be paid out to you when you ship through Shipmondo's shipping agreement. If you want this to happen, explore the possibility of having your own shipping agreement activated on your Shipmondo account to use on your return portal.
When using your own shipping agreement
If you use your own shipping agreement in the shipment template in the setup of your return methods, then you can also determine the price for the return shipping. You settle your actual cost of return shipping directly with your carrier.
Credits of return shipping payments to your balance
When you set a price on your return portal and use your own shipping agreement, we credit your customers' payments to your Shipmondo balance.
Shipmondo charges a small price for each deposit to cover payment gateway costs,
acquiring costs for card payments, and administration of deposits / withdrawals.
The charge will be deducted from your balance and listed on your monthly invoice.

Note! You will not be charged for card payments if you offer free return shipping or if you use Shipmondo shipping agreements.
Monthly statement of return portal payments
Each month, you will receive a statement with an overview of all the payments on your return portal on a monthly invoice.

An example: Return price and calculation
You are a Swedish company. You have chosen to offer a return method with PostNord using your own shipping agreement. You determine that the return shipping costs 80.00 SEK.
You pay 0.60 SEK per shipping label.
You pay a transaction fee of 2.80 SEK.
80.00 - 0.60 - 2.80 = 76.60 SEK.
You will have 76.60 SEK credited to your Shipmondo balance.
Currencies: exchange rate surcharge
If you set up and offer a return portal in a currency other than the currency of your
Shipmondo account, there will be a 2% surcharge when the amount is converted into the currency of your Shipmondo account.
