In Shipmondo there are three different picking solutions:

  • Pick with digital pick paths (paperless picking)

  • Pick with pick path lists

  • Pick with pick lists

If you don’t know the difference between the picking solutions, we recommend that you read our article that reviews the solutions, so that you can choose the solution that fits your needs.

In this guide, we review how to pick with pick lists.

How to create pick lists

In the order overview, select the orders you would like to pick.

In the example below, we mark eight orders.

Click on the dropdown next to the Start pick path list button and select Create pick lists.

A document will now be created consisting of eight delivery notes (one delivery note for each order), which you can print.

Pro tip: If you want to manage specific orders together – for example, orders that have the same delivery method or orders with the same product number – then you can use filtering of orders.

Pick list

A pick list shows the items to be picked for the current order.

The items on the pick list will be sorted by product placement, if it is stated on the product. If your product doesn’t have location codes, then the picking list will be sorted by SKU.

  • Bin: Your item location (bin code) on the product (if it is stated on the product)

  • Pick: Number of products to be picked

Pro tip: Add bin codes to your products in Shipmondo, and work even faster and more efficiently. See how here.

How to pick with pick lists

First, mark the orders to be picked and print pick lists for them (see the instructions above).

Step 1 - Pick the items on the pick list

Pick the items according to the instructions on the pick list.

You can see how many times an item must be picked at Pick.

Pick all the items on the pick list.

Step 2 - Complete the orders

Once all the products on the pick list have been found, you can close the order.

Search for orders on your order overview or find the ongoing order under Initiated.

To complete the order, you must

  • Create a fulfillment

  • Create a shipment (shipping label)

  • Possibly capture payment

Read about how to complete an order under step 2 in this guide.

Pro tip: Use our hand scanner solution and complete an order quickly, accurately and efficiently by scanning the delivery note. Read more about how to get started using the hand scanner solution here.
