Create a shipment manually

See how you can easily and quickly create a manual shipment.

Updated today

Although Shipmondo allows you to automate the creation of shipments, there may still be situations where you need to create shipments manually.

In this guide, you can follow either our video guide or our easy step-by-step guide to see how to create a manual shipment.

How to create a shipment manually

Step 1: Select product and shipping agreement

Go to Shipments > Create.

First, select the Sender country, Recipient country, which Carrier will handle the shipment, and the Product in question.

A new field will then appear where you must select which Shipping agreement you wish to use.

Note! If you haven't set up your own shipping agreement, you can still send your packages using Shipmondo’s agreements with a wide selection of carriers. If you wish to set up your own shipping agreements, you can read more here.

Step 2: Fill in information

Now, more information needs to be filled in.

Sender and reciever

Here, you can check that your information is correct under Sender and enter the Reciever details. You do this by clicking the small pencil icon in the top right corner.

💡 Expert tip: In the top right corner, you can see a lightning bolt icon that opens our command palette (Ctrl + K or CMD + K). Here, you can quickly and easily navigate using shortcuts to, for example, edit recipient information or create new parcels.

Pick-up point

If you choose a parcel shop or locker product, our system will suggest the nearest pick-up point based on the recipient's address, but you also have the option to select a specific pick-up point.

Carrier and other services

In addition, you can select various Carrier services offered by the carrier.

Under Other services, you can select Shipmondo’s services, such as personalized messages or extended package insurance.

Parcels

Next, you need to fill in information about your Parcels. You must specify how many parcels (packages) are being sent and enter their weight.

It is also possible to fill in Reference and Additional reference under Additional details. The Reference field allows you to provide text that will appear on the label.

Now you can click Create or save the shipment as a draft.

Add customs information for export shipments

If you are shipping outside the EU, additional information must be entered for your shipment in accordance with applicable customs regulations.
